Whether it’s a far-flung destination wedding, not in the budget or the bride is just a low maintenance kind of gal, a DIY job can still be a super-effective way to get that matrimonial glow-up. Daniel Martin is a celebrity makeup artist and was the Duchess of Sussex’s man on the ground for her wedding. Here he spills three simple tips to ensure your makeup looks professional.
Prep your pout
The morning of the big day, the pro says, “exfoliate your lips in the shower with a hot wash cloth.” This will make for an ultrasmooth pucker for that oh-so-important kiss.
Ensure a photo finish
To get a perfectly even-toned but not over-done complexion, Martin suggests buffing foundation into the skin as usual, then dabbing with a damp sponge to lift away excess.
Lock in Lashes
How to make a set of false lashes look more natural? Martin hits them with waterproof mascara after placing to help the strands blend with real lashes.
