Nature Box: The new beauty range with a positive difference
It’s easy to get carried away and swept up in the fun of summer - partying, over-indulging and general excess –it can all prove a strain on your mind and body. Now that it’s behind us and we’re well and truly in the thick of autumn, it’s a great time to take a step back and reset. That’s where beauty positivity comes in.
What is beauty positivity?
Put simply, beauty positivity is an attitude to create a more beautiful world and a more beautiful you. Sounds simple enough right? A positive internal dialogue influences our words, actions, habits, relationships and ultimately the planet. The mind is pretty powerful - in fact, it can change the world.

So how can we begin to brighten our view of the world and infuse more positivity into our thought patterns? Well, read on for the five simple changes I’ll be making to my lifestyle to live a more positive life.
Be comfortable in my own skin
Ahhh the number one happiness killer: insecurities. For me, a huge barrier in the way of positivity is getting caught up on my flaws and comparing myself to others. If you’re not comfortable in your own skin, it dominates your mind every day. Insecurities kill your self-esteem, confidence and rob you of that positive aura – you know that sparkly vibe confident people give off?! Wishing your life, body, face, house or relationship was like someone else’s isn’t healthy and jealousy will only bring out the worst in you. Beauty positivity starts with a positive relationship with yourself.
Live in the moment
Our modern 24/7 lifestyle means we’re always on and it’s impossible to switch off - I’m especially guilty of this. Very rarely am I disconnected from my phone, computer or job. Even when I’m watching TV I’m multi-tasking between Instagram and it’s not unusual for my partner and I to tag each other in memes while lying right next to each other (sad right…!) I recently discovered the screen time feature on my phone and much to my alarm I spend an average of 4.5 hours on my phone a day. So, I’m vowing to reduce this by an hour a day and live in the moment. But, even more important than the number, I want to focus more on what is happening in front of me and give my undivided attention to whoever I’m with.
One of the quickest ways to shift your focus away from negativity is to list the things in your life you’re thankful for. Practicing gratefulness can cause almost an immediate shift in your perspective. I recently met someone who kept a daily gratitude journal, where they penned everything in their life they were thankful for each day. Making your gratitude tangible by writing it down, even if it’s typing, is a great way to keep your life’s blessing front of mind and cement positive thoughts.
Aside from the obvious confidence boost that comes from absolutely crushing a workout, there are other reasons why fitness makes us happier too. That ‘walking on cloud nine’ feeling after a run is called endorphins. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins and serotonin which reduce stress and anxiety, making you your happiest self. I notice a huge difference in my mood and general outlook on life when I’m not exercising. For my mental health, exercising at least four times a week is a non-negotiable.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in your own life and forget about the people and world around us. Acts of kindness towards others, animals and the planet can provide perspective and fill you with positivity. Below are a few simple ways to ramp up the kindness

There’s nothing like the power of a compliment to put a smile on your dial, especially when it’s from someone you don’t know.
- Go vegan
While I’m not vegan, the smallest changes can make a huge difference. Whether it’s a #meatlessmonday, giving up leather or switching to vegan-friendly beauty products like Nature Box, every act counts.
