5 healthy hair hacks
Hailing from across the ditch, Anthony Nader, celebrity stylist and founder of iconic Surrey Hills salon RAW, knows his hair. He honed his craft in NYC and has carved a niche as one of Australia’s most respected and in-demand hairstylists. We picked his expert brains and asked for five simple ways women can keep their hair looking and feeling its absolute best.
Invest in hot tools that have a temperature control setting. No hair strands deserve to be burnt to a crisp. Start the heat setting always on the lowest one and then go higher if needed.
Essano Argan Oil Hair Recovery Serum is a goodie for nourishing strands to better days. I actually love applying a few drops on damp hair rather than 100% dry hair. Why? When your hair (like your skin) is supple and dewy, any product you apply from here will always absorb far better than on dry hair or skin.
Don’t use tight and thin hair elastics. They will only cause your strands to snap off over time. So loosen off the tension and also look out for silk or satin elastics as well.
Use a brush with loads of boar bristles. These little babies will now smooth over the most unruly strands to appear salon campaign worthy.
Even in the cooler months, try and not have your showers too hot. I know it all sounds and feels comforting, but in actual fact you’re zapping out the moisture and sheen in your hair.
Will you try adapting any of the above tips?
