So without further ado, here are 10 new releases that are worth spending your hard-earned cash on:
Benefit Brow Styler multitasking pencil & powder for brows, $62
Extending its expertise in the brow area, Benefit’s new release is a double-ended tool designed to define, with an angled wax pencil, and softly fill with an angled sponge-tip wand dipped in a powder-filled lid. It's relatively easy to master and the powder is particualrly useful for subtly camoflaging any sparse areas or scars where brows refuse to grow | Shop now
Dior Rouge Dior Ultra Care Liquid Lip Colour, $63
Liquid lipstick may be getting a nudge by glossy-finish lip products trying to snatch the 'trending now' crown, but we firmly believe there is a time and a place for liquid lipstick. That time may or may not be every single day, now we're wearing Dior's new version. The French luxury brand describes the finish of this product as 'petal soft', and we think that's a pretty apt description for the liquid matte. It glides on with intensely high-pigment as expected, but what we really rate is the comfort-factor, thanks to included oils and shea butter. A luxe buy that you'll actually reach for all the time | Shop now
MAC's Pony Park collection
So divine is this collection we couldn't do it the injustice of selecting just one item. MAC has collaborated with South Korean beauty celeb and insta-star, Park Hye-Min, known as Pony, on this celestially-styled collection. The Matte Lip Mousse is probably the most notable new texture, designed to blur into lips to create the popular K-beauty ombre lip, but the eye shadow palette is stunning and the surface shaping of the highlighters is too pretty to disturb! Luminosity and a flawless finish are ideas easily executed with this collection | Available October 7.
Revlon ColorStay Gleaming Eyes, $22
Liquid glitter eyeshadow is one of the easiest ways to wear glitter, just dab on your eyelids and blend with your ring finger. Revlon has jumped into the game with this product that comes in six party-perfect shades at a brilliantly accessible price point | Shop now
Speaking of accessible, US brand Morphe's arrival at Mecca is a win for our wallets. The colour loving brand has great eyeshadow palettes ($40-$66), makeup brushes ($7-$27) and lip products ($13-$17) all well-made with decent colour payoff | Shop Now
L'Oréal Paris False Lash Bambi Mascara, $27
Big, wide doe-eyes are yours with this mascara which defines lashes into a fluttery fan and lasts well without flaking. A great go-to, and it's easy to build up if you want a little more volume | Shop now
Dr.Hauschka Natural Spirit Limited Edition Blush Duo, $54, and Lipstick, $50
Natural brand Dr.Hauschka's seasonal limited editions are always worth checking out, but the latest is a dream for lovers of rosy-nude shades. The blush is the perfect youthful pink with a touch of warmth and the lipstick delivers a lush, creamy finish with just a touch of soft sheen.
Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation, $69
Those in the know have been obsessing over Shiseido's foundations for years, becasue the brand's technology and development seems to be leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else. So we're not entirely surprised its new foundation is so good. It has medium-buildable coverage, is oil-free and SPF30 and it cleverly continually keeps your shiny spots in check. The finish is flawless but natural and it stays in place all day. It's the real MVP | Shop now
Clinique Even Better Pop Lip Colour Foundation, $49
If you’ve ever coveted a friend’s nude lipstick, only to find it looks terrible on you, Clinique has the solution. The brand has introduced a shade-matching system based in science that claims to find three nude shades perfect for you. A nude or barely-there shade, a your-lips-but-better shade and a ‘glam’ nude for when you want a slightly stronger colour. There are 28 shades to choose from so head to a Clinique counter to get matched for the dreamy, satin finish lippies or you can you the online tool which bases choices on your foundation shade | Shop now
Lanolips Tinted lip Balm SPF30 in Nectar, $17.50
Last but certainly not least, Aussie brand Lanolips has released a pretty peachy-pink new shade of our absolute favourite lip balm! Made from pure and natural lanolin from sheep's wool, a product which mimics the natural lipids in skin, it's super nourishing and the SPF prevents lips from dryness and fine lines caused by UV rays | Shop now
