What is a lash lift?
We are all too familiar with the after-effects of lash extensions, which while they look amazing at the time, seem to wreak havoc on natural lashes and can become a very expensive addiction. Thankfully, short-lashed lasses will breathe a sigh of relief as there is a solution for lashes that you feel need a little help in the length and curl department. While lash lifts aren't a new thing (they used to be called a lash perm), new advances in technology and formulations mean that they stay put for longer and give better results - team one of these lifts with mascara, applied the right way, and extensions will be all but a distant memory.

The Yumi Lash Lift is the new-age lash perm, designed to lift and curl lashes in as little as an hour - while this isn't the only lash service available, it's one worth looking at for its lasting results. Essentially a lash lift like this is carried out by separating the lashes and setting them back off the eyes using silicone strips - a perm-like solution is then applied to your lashes and left for a period of time to work its magic. The silicone strips help to keep your lashes in a curled back shape which they will eventually form to. Once the strips come off, your lashes are then tinted to also add further effect to the finish.

This is the perfect treatment for someone who has straighter lashes that struggle to curl - while those with longer lashes which naturally curl may find the treatment curls the lashes too much, it could just be a matter of having the solution on for a shorter time. The results will last you from 6-8 weeks and definitely cuts back on how much mascara you need to wear - it's the perfect summer beauty treatment.
