    La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mask is a shine control, purifying clay face mask and skin mattifier. The face mask, formulated with gentle clays, eliminates excess oil and invisible impurities (dust, pollution particles) and controls shine. The gentle clay, which has a creamy texture, unblocks and purifies pores and controls excess shine. Pores appear more refined, skin feels smooth and looks radiant. Suitable for acne-prone skin.

    Great for oily skin

    Great to see reliable affordable beauty brands!

    I have oily/acne prone skin and this works like a dream for me skin. Helps reduce oil production and clears out skin. I will admit I have used this in conjunction with other LRP products but they have really helped clear my skin.

    I use this once a week and even sometimes only apply to certain problem areas (e.g. chin, jaw, cheeks, nose or middle of forehead).

    Any Tips?: 
    I have used this in conjunction with the LRP gel cleanser and matte moisturiser. Great combination if you have super oily skin and breakout prone.

    A Great Mask

    I picked this up in the recently, and am very impressed. I have oily skin, so was looking for a product to help reduce that.

    This mask was a great choice. Its clay based, which helps to suck up all the oils deep in my pores. It's not overly drying as its gentle, so my skin isnt over producing oil after I use it.

    It leaves my skin extremely soft and looking clear. It feels firm but plump at the same time. I can see this tube lasting me ages, and will repurchase once I run out.

    good for price

    I picked this mask up as I have some clogged pores on my nose and chin. While this mask helped my skin to feel smooth after use, I dont believe that it has made a difference in the long term or to the size of my pores in those areas. I will continue to use this mask right before events or applying makeup as it does leave the skin feeling soft and very clean

    Great for troublesome or teenage skin

    Sometimes I get break outs but my skin is sensitive to strong acne treatments. I love that this is affordable, and I can concentrate it on troublesome areas. It doesn't take the hydration away from the skin and leaves it nice and plump. I find with regular use and the Effaclar lotion, my breakouts are reduced drastically.

    Amazing mask

    I've been wanting to try this for ages. I've collected a fair amount of La Roche-Posay products in my favourites and this has been added.

    This mask comes in a handy little tube. I love that I don't have to scoop out product of a tub and get germs in it. I use a brush or spatula to spread this on my face.

    It has a smooth consistency and is easy to apply. It's not overly thick but it also doesn't drip. It says to leave it on for five minutes so it's great for a quick mask before applying makeup or bed. I leave it on for longer but I find this mask does not dry and crack like others. It's really easy to remove and you won't have to rub your face raw to remove it.

    I've found that my skin is smoother and I've had less breakouts since using this product. I only use it once a week. I've had no purging with this product which is unusual for me.

    Will definitely be repurchasing this one.

    Does a good job

    First of all, I like that the packaging is in a squeezy tube as it makes the whole application process quicker and easier. Smells like a typical clay-based mask and the texture is smooth and easy to apply. I like that it is only recommended to be on for 2-3 minutes, so even if you only remember to put it on right before bed, its done quickly.

    It works for me when I am having an acne flare-up.
    I use it on my entire face, but sometimes I like to use it kind of like a spot treatment on any active acne if they are really sore or large or red; I put some on and leave it for a really long time - sometimes hours because I forget that it's there - until it either wears off or its time to wash my face again.
    My pimples are less sore, less red and less painful after doing so, and I personally think it significantly reduces the healing time, but doesn't make the pimples go dry and crusty
    Also reduces the likelihood of reoccurring acne for a while
