Magen Darel, guru of skincare across Australasia, is offering the ViperLift Bio Treatment from his stunning new Origani flagship store in Queen Street. Loved by celebrities, including Katie Holmes, Debra Messing and Cheryl Cole, the primary ingredient of the wonder facial is synthetic snake venom, which is applied as a non-surgical, entirely pain-free alternative to Botox.
We chatted to Magen to find out exactly how the reptilian-reminiscent relaxer works its magic.
What are the key ingredients of the ViperLift Bio Treatment and what are their benefits to skin?
The key ingredients are synthetic snake venom, peptides, vitamin A and hyaluronic acid. The synthetic snake venom replicates that of the Temple Viper, and acts like a natural, non-surgical botox for the whole face. Hyaluronic acid holds moisture a thousand times more than water, which supports skin becoming more supple and soft. It also reduces redness and wrinkles. The peptides and vitamin A help rebuild and renew the cells.
What does the treatment entail?
We double cleanse the skin with a gentle cleanser and exfoliate with using a thermal/manuka honey peel. We then use the red light therapy to help improve blood circulation and promote production of collagen.
We then put on the ViperLift Bio mask for fifteen minutes. The mask gets quite warm when it is activated and we then cleanse it off. Once cleansed, we apply a concentrated synthetic snake venom serum to mimic the effects of a peptide found in the venom of a Temple Viper snake, which works to relax the skin muscles used for facial expressions that cause wrinkles.
Who should get it?
We recommend the ViperLift Bio treatment for those aged 28+, who have sun-damaged, dehydrated, saggy or stressed skin, or have fine lines and wrinkles they want to treat. We recommend having it every week for the first month, then once a month after.
What kind of results can we expect?
The synthetic snake venom prevents full movement of muscles for a couple of weeks and smooths wrinkles and fine lines. Combined with the other ingredients, the Viperlift Bio treatment leaves skin firmer, hydrated, and lifted. You will see immediate results and, used over time, it is a very effective anti-aging treatment.
